Please take a look at the SAMPLE ONE TO FIVE-DAY ITINERARIES. These options can be booked as is or simply used to give a sense of what you could do in a day.

We will be happy to replace any of the recommended museums with others, reorganize the visits, change everything and finally create your exclusive private tour.

 

ONE-DAY SAMPLE ITINERARY

8.30 meet your guide and driver at your accommodation.

8.30 – 9.00 drive through the city center to Kolomna district – old neighborhood occupied by different national minorities including Jews in the 19th century.

9.00-9.30 visit the Grand Choral Synagogue

9.30-10.15  drive to Tsarskoje Selo

10.30 – 12.30 visit Catherine’s palace with its fabulous Amber Room

12.30 – 13.30 lunch in the local café

13.30 – 14.30 return to the city. Optional – stop near the Siege Memorial

14.30 – 16.30 tour of the State Hermitage museum, walk through the Palace Square

16.45 – 18.45 city sightseeing tour. Optional - visit Our Savior on the Spilled Blood church

19.00 return to your accommodation

Commentary – Catherine’s palace visit can be easily replaced with the hydrofoil trip to Peterhof

 

 

TWO-DAY SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY 1

9.00 meet your guide and driver at your accommodation.

9.00 – 13.00 city sightseeing tour with drive through the former Jewish neighborhood Kolomna and visits inside the Grand Choral Synagogue and the church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood.

Commentary – inside visit to the Church  of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood can be replaced with the visit inside the Peter-and-Paul Fortress or St.Isaak’s Cathedral

13.00 -14.00 lunch in a local café/restaurant of your choice

14.30 – 17.00 visit to the State Hermitage museum with the walk on the Palace Square.

- look at the former mansions of the rich Jewish families - Ginsberg and Polyakov;

-  stop at the Theatre square with the oldest Russian school of music – Conservatoire established by Anton Rubinshtein - the esteemed Jewish composer and pianist;

-  visit the Grand Choral Synagogue;

- lunch in the Kosher restaurant ‘Le’chaim’ located in the Synagogue;

- visit YESOD – St.Petersburg Jewish community center

DAY 5

8.00 – 20.00 full-day trip to Novgorod – the oldest town in Russia located some 200 km away from St.Petersburg. The tour includes:

- Novgorod Kremlin with the oldest stone church in Russia – St.Sophia and the monument to the 1000 anniversary of the Russian State,

- Yaroslav's Courtyard with its unique “bush” of churches designed in 12-16 centuries,

- the open-air architectural-ethnographic museum "Vitoslavlitsy", which provides a whole complex of genuine folk wooden architecture
